Remember when DVD players were chunky boxes that sat under even chunkier TVs? Not any more it seems. Korean company LG has launched a 17 inch flat-screen LCD telly that features an integrated DVD player.
Although obviously computers have combined LCD screens with DVD players for quite a while, we reckon it’s the first proper flat screen TV to integrate a DVD player. OK it’s a little bit chunkier than a normal LCD TV (17cm compared to around 10cm), but it’s a small price to pay for the added luxury. Just hang the telly on the wall, plop a DVD in the side and away you go.
Features include 1280 x 768 resolution, two seven watt speakers, Teletext and quite a few connections – including two Scarts, S-Video and AV inputs/outputs. The KZ-17LZ21 is expected to retail for under £1000. For more info go to www.lge.co.uk
