Though already available through the Google Play store, the app now has the official seal of approval for larger screened devices, with the update bringing some bug fixes along for the ride too.

SmartGlass is a second-screen app that lets you control elements of the Xbox 360 UI using a tablet or smartphone. Both Android and iOS devices like iPhones and iPads are supported.

It makes controlling media playback far easier than fiddling with the controller, while typing with the touchscreen keyboard is much easier too. There’s also limited functionality with select games (such as Forza Horizon, throwing a map onto the second screen), with that functionality expected to expand over the coming year.
