Thumbnail image for nexus-7-tablet.jpgThe 3G version of Google’s superb Nexus 7 Android tablet is back on sale in the UK after stock of the first batch sold out shortly after initially going on sale.

The 32GB tablet, priced at £239, is an absolute bargain, and is shipping within the same 3-5 day window from Google’s Play Store as the Wi-Fi only 16GB and 32GB variants. Those looking to pick one up as a Christmas present can therefore breath easy.

The 3G Nexus 7 uses a HSPA+ modem that supports petraband 3G (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz), letting it be used across European 3G networks. Unlocked and SIM free, you’ll be able to choose whichever data provider you wish, though 4G connectivity isn’t available with the tablet.

The Nexus 4, Google’s LG-made, equally affordable and impressive smartphone, remains off sale from Google’s Play Store. Those looking to pick up the smartphone bargain of the year will have to wait a bit longer, or dive in for a comparatively expensive network-tied offering.
