Project Natal, Microsoft‘s Xbox 360 motion controller, will be launched in October. Microsoft’s Syed Bilal Tariq confirmed this week that the launch will be just in time for Christmas and the busiest games buying period of the year.
The Natal launch, “is going to be somewhere in October and we will be in a position to confirm the date at E3, which is in June, but definitely it is going to be October 2010″ said Microsoft’s Saudi marketing man.
Though the pre-Christmas launch comes as no surprise, this is the first time it has been confirmed by a Microsoft executive.
It’s worth remembering that Project Natal is still only a codename for the device, set to go head-to-head with the Wii and Playstation 3 Move controller. Come June and E3 it may be called something completely different.
