As well as getting a look at the enormous HP TouchSmart IQ800 yesterday, I also got to have a sneaky peek at HP's new series of HDX Premium laptops, and gosh they're swish. Very sleek design, Apple-style light-up logo, titanium casing, and swooshes across the trackpad below the keyboard. Beautiful.
Decent specs too - the laptops have an Intel Centrino 2 processor, 16" and 18.4" displays respectively, giving them a Full HD 16:9 aspect ratio, and plenty of entertainment bits. There's integrated Blu-ray and TV tuner. There's Altec-Lansing speakers, and an inbuilt subwoofer (in a laptop!), as well as an NVidia GeForce 9600M GT graphics card.
As mentioned in the video above, they'll be both be available at the start of October. The 16" model will start at £1000, and the 18.4" model will start at £1200.
