Speaker maker Thiel is offering its range of PowerPoint surround sound speakers for the first time in the UK, courtesy of hi-fi distributor Symmetry.
The PowerPoint is a surface-mounted, two-way loudspeaker that claims to offer uniform full-room coverage through its angled, close boundary cabinet design. Manufactured from cast aluminium, the wedge-shaped enclosure extends less than 140mm from the wall, but still manages to squueze in a coaxial 6.5-inch woofer and a one-inch tweeter. There's also a high sensitivity of 89dB and high power handling of 200 watts and for the interior designers out there, a choice of colour or a custom paint job if you wish.
