Swing Lamp: it's a swing, but also a lamp!

You want a 'Does What It Says On The Tin' gadget name? How about the Swing Lamp. It's an illuminated swing made of acryl-glass, rope and SMD LED lighting, to create a swoopy glowing effect when you swing back and forth on it.

It's the work of design cooperative BCXSY, and is part of its 'Play' range of home objects (other items include a See-Saw Bookshelf and Fruit tiles).

I'd like to see the government buy a stack of Swing Lamps and install them in British parks – if only to blow the cider-crazed minds of the youngsters who congregate there at night.
