Here's a camera we could find it easy to get excited about: superslim, slick design and a nice set of features. The Fujifilm Finepix Z1 Zoom is a 5-megapixel camera with a 3X optical zoom lens and credit card-style dimensions. Available in the usual silver, and this swanky black finish, the Z1 features a slide back panel that reveals the zoom lens. Unlike most lenses, this one doesn't extend to focus, using a special refractive design that allows it to provide 3X zoom without any movement. The fifth generation Super CCD HR sensor, low noise ISO 64-800 sensitivity and 2.5-inch preview screen, leaves it looking pretty appealing. The camera's due for launch in June over in the UK, with pricing to be confirmed nearer the time.
[Update: Apparently, the camera will also be out in blue and red as well as black and silver. That's what we like to hear.]
