google_street_view.jpgGood news! Google is allowed to continue with putting together its Street View tool in Britain after the Information Commissioner said that it’s okay for Google to continue invading our privacy.

Concerns were raised recently that taking street level photographs all over major cities (cars have already been spotted in London) could breach privacy laws by showing people in compromising situations, such as having extra-marital affairs or burgling houses. Google got the go-ahead after it “satisfied” the Information Commissioner by employing a number of safeguards, including the blurring of faces and number plates.

Unfortunately during the course of these events Google made no mention of mashing up Street View with Doom.
