And these drives just keep getting bigger. Buffalo has expanded its DriveStation line of external hard drives by adding increased capacity units of 300GB and 400GB – and these are aimed at the home user! According to Buffalo, we’re just downloading more and need room to back it all up.

The DriveStation is a PC-compatible USB hard drive that supports USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 and runs at 7200rpm. It’s fan-less design means it is quiet, while the Heat Sink Chassis cools internal components.  It also comes equipped with Secure Lock Ware to encrypt your data. To make it simple to use for the home user, the drive features an Auto Setup function for quick installation and Auto Backup so you can schedule saving your data.

You can pick up a 300GB drive for around £110 plus VAT and a 400GB model for £180 plus VAT.
