Amateur paps looking to up their photo-snapping game from an entry level compact should take a look at the latest bridge cameras from Fujifilm. Affordably priced at £149 and £199 respectively, the FinePix S4200 and SL240 are available now.
First revealed back at CES in January, the cameras offer DSLR-style looks and plenty of functionality, without the added expense or hassle of interchangeable lenses.
Both using a Fujinon 24x optical zoom lense, with 24mm wide angle function, the Fujinon optics use Dual Image Stabilisation to help keep subjects sharp, making the cameras handy for nervous newcomers.Capturing 14MP shots, the cameras also boast a 3-inch LCD preview screen and 720p recording abilities.
The main difference between the two is their power sources: the premium SL240 has a rechargeable lithium battery (good for 300 shots per charge), while the S4200 runs off AA batteries.
Definitely a pair to consider if you’ve been eyeing up Nikon’s recent offerings.
