Fortunately this wacky iPod dock is just in the prototype stage, but if it ever did become a reality, it could just meet that hard-to-please niche of people that need a combined food holder and iPod charger/player.
It's the brainchild of David Gu - goodness only knows where the inspiration came from. Maybe he was cooking one day, reached for a garlic clove from that oh so boring vegetable tray, and thought "hey, wouldn't it be great if I designed a snazzy looking veggie holder that played music?"
Well, each to their own David. As far as I can tell, this doesn't actually do anything to the food - perhaps version 2 will be some cool USB gadget that warms stews - and plays your iPod.
I can just see the iPod warranties being voided now as people drop their prized music player into a bubbling vat of Minestrone.
Where will the iPod accessory madness end?
