Who woulda thunk it? The Chinese company Penchan has developed a camera with a whopping 5.5 Terapixel resolution, or in layman’s terms, 5,500,000 megapixels. Yes, really. We just got off the phone to Canon and Nikon and it’s safe to say, they’re petrified.
When we told Hasselblad about Penchan’s new product, they vowed to get out of the industry as fast as their little Swedish legs could carry them.

Sony announces A300 and A350 entry-level D-SLRs at PMA show
Sony’s got some special entry-level D-SLRs spinning over at the PMA show, with the A300 and A350 being satisfactory enough even for the most discerning of hobbyists.
The A300, shown, is almost identical to the A350, but has 14.2-megapixels as opposed to the latter’s 10.2. Both have a 2.7″ LCD screen, with live view being touted as a big feature. Both take photos at 3 frames…

Over in the US at the Photo Marketing Association Show (PMAs), Kodak showed off several more cameras in addition to the few V-series models they touted at CES. This EasyShare Z1012 IS is high up there on the food chain, with a 10-megapixel sensor and 12x optical zoom lens.
