Pure Chronos iDock with USB PowerPort

Listen to your iPod/iPhone when you wake up with this latest Chronos iDock clock radio. Part of Apple's "Made for iPod" and "Works with iPhone" programmes, Chronos iDock Series II enables also boasts stereo DAB, DAB+ and FM clock radio.

Track and 'now playing' information is displayed on the Chronos iDock Series II screen and users can control their iPod/iPhone via the radio or remote control.

Based on the award-winning Chronos iDock and available in black or white it comes with enhanced controls including a rotary dial and larger, easy-to-use buttons. PowerPort provides charging for USB accessories such as a mobile phone charger, reading light or even cup warmer solving the problem of having insufficient power points next to the bed.

Other features includefour independent alarms (for waking to DAB/ FM, iPod/iPhone or a tone) adjustable sleep and snooze timers and a light sensor which automatically dims the display. An MP3/CD player or headphones can be connected and a matching remote control is also supplied.

Exspect launches FM Transmitter range for iPod, iPhone

Accessories firm Exspect has unveiled four FM Transmitters for hooking your iPod, iPod Touch or iPhone to your home speaker system or in-car stereo. All Exspect FM Transmitters are compatible with every FM radio and boast several features as standard, including a large LCD display, full range frequency between 88.1MHz – 107.9MHz (handy in big cities where frequencies can get very crowded), auto-memory of the last frequency used, and an auto-off feature to ensure your power consumption remains as low as possible.

To preserve the battery life of your Apple device, all Exspect FM Transmitters come equipped with a mini USB port, a mini USB cable and an in-car charger. Exspect's flagship device, the Intelligent FM Transmitter also features a Radio Data System (RDS) facility, which shows the current track being played on your device directly onto the stereo's display. Sounds quite a natty feature.

GEAR4 announces range of cases for new nano

Ipod accessories company GEAR4 certainly doesn’t mess around. Just hours after Steve Jobs’ announcement of a new iPod nano, it’s unveiled a new iPod nano case range

The new GEAR4 range for the updated iPod nano includes silicon skins, hard plastic shells, leather cases and a sports armband, all accommodating the new larger screen and including a hole for the all-important new video camera feature. One of the highlights of the 2009 range is the JumpSuit Pro, a tough, shock resistant rubber case.

Of most interest is the new iPod Nano which now comes with video camera, mic and speaker as well as several new colours (it is now available in pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, silver and black). It is available in two versions – 8 Gig for $159 and 16 Gig for $179.
