Is Google right to ban adverts from essay writing companies?
University authorities have “warmly welcomed” the news that Google is to refuse advertising from companies which offer to write research essays for students.
After recent complaints from various universities that students have been passing off essays that they’ve paid for as their own, Google has decided to refuse these ads.

Spin-my-Blog now available to UK and US LiveJournal users
Spin-my-Blog, which launched in February, has now done a deal with Six Apart to make the service available to all 12 million LiveJournal users.
Simply by making a phone call and speaking their blog entry, users of the popular blogging platform can blog while on the move, or anywhere they don’t have access to a computer. It’s also more convenient than texting blog entries, unless you’re into micro-blogging of course.

UK Podcasters Association allies with AIM to legitimise use of independent music in podcasts
The UK Podcasters Association, set up in May last year, has reached an agreement with the UK-based Association of Independent Music (AIM) to allow its members preferential, legitimate, access to AIM’s podcast licence.
This means that UK podcasters will gain unlimited access to full-length music tracks from the likes of Paul Weller, Bloc Party, Mylo, Basement Jaxx, Stereophonics, The Killers, and many thousands more, and be able to use them freely in their own podcasts.
