Yoto unveils 4th generation audio players from £89.99
Yoto, the acclaimed interactive audio platform designed specifically for children, has announced its biggest-ever hardware update with the launch of the new 4th Generation Yoto Player and Yoto Mini.
Aimed squarely at modern parents seeking screen-free education and entertainment content for their children, Yoto has built its reputation on providing child-led audio experiences without digital addiction.
Founded by Dads Ben Drury and Filip Denker, the platform allows children to explore stories, music, podcasts and educational features independently without relying on adult-oriented technology.
The headline addition across both new 4th Generation devices is the innovative Green Button. Once set up by an adult via the free Yoto App, this physical button gives children instant, cardless access to up to 20 of their favourite audio titles and personalised playlists for day or night.
Whether tuning into the Yoto Daily podcast in the morning or winding down with white noise and lullabies at bedtime, families can seamlessly build the players into their daily routines. Future software updates will also introduce dynamic lighting on the full-panel night light of the full-sized player, creating visual effects that complement what children are listening to.
Under the hood, both new players have received massive performance upgrades. They now feature a faster processor, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.1 and an upgraded 64GB of internal storage capable of holding over 1,000 hours of offline listening.
The pocket-sized Yoto Mini 4th Gen has also been redesigned to be more robust, featuring an IP67 splash-and dust-resistant body built to withstand the rough and tumble of family life.
Says Ben Drury, CEO and Co-Founder:
“We’ve always wanted Yoto to get better with time. We listen to families, we watch how kids use Yoto, and we ask ourselves what could make the experience more joyful, useful and independent. That’s what led us to 4th Gen.
“We wanted kids to be able to get to the audio they love more easily, for Yoto to work even better around the rhythms of family life, and for the hardware itself to be faster, more reliable and tougher. We don’t want to change the core of what Yoto is – 4th Gen is about making the Yoto experience even better for families as the way they use it evolves.”
The Yoto Player 4th Gen will retail at £119.99, while the Yoto Mini 4th Gen will be priced at £89.99. Both devices are available for pre-order starting September 10, 2026, on Yotoplay.com, with the Yoto Mini also available on Amazon. The Yoto Mini 4th Gen has an estimated dispatch date of September 30, 2026, followed by the Yoto Player 4th Gen on October 15, 2026.
