Japanese company Sharp is back in the UK market with a new range of smartphones and a brand new line up of TVs too, including four new 4K UHD Smart LED TVs.

Featuring 60inch and 70inch screen sizes and harman/kardon® sound system, the new models come with integrated upscaling, making them able to upgrade HD content to 4K resolution.

The 60in and 70in models are both available with Direct LED (LC-60UI7652E or LC-70UI7652E) or Edge LED backlighting (LC-60UI9362E or LC-70UI9362E). Featuring Smart TV, you can access numerous streaming apps like Netflix and YouTube. Phone apps can also be accessed by wirelessly connecting your smartphone or tablet.

All models are equipped with Sharp AQUOS displays that produce razor-sharp image quality and bright colours. Built-in HDR+ technology offers better contrast and higher brightness, while the Wide Colour Gamut technology displays pictures with more colours compared to traditional TV sets. In addition, Sharp‘s Active Motion technology increases the sharpness of movement and decreases the ghosting effect.

Complementing the images is a 2.1 harman/kardon® sound system with independent low-frequency subwoofer and silk tweeters. DTS Studio Sound™ technology provides a cinematic sound experience based on surround sound algorithms.

Sharp’s new models come with three HDMI points, allowing you to connect Blu-ray players or game consoles, as well as an SD card reader and three USB inputs. With a built-in triple tuner Sharp’s TVs can receive TV programmes via cable (DVB-C), satellite (DVB-S/S2) or aerial (DVB-T/T2HD), with freenet TV available without an additional connection box.

The models LC-60UI7652E and LC-70UI7652E are now available at £649 RRP or £999 RRP. The models LC-60UI9362E and LC-70UI9362E are now available at £749 RRP or £1,199 RRP.
