Optoma has just launched a new Full HD 1080p gaming and home entertainment projector that not only boasts High Dynamic Range (HDR) but also the lowest lag of any projector it has ever made.

Capable of receiving and displaying HDR meta data, the new HD29H produces exceptional depth and detail with accurate true-to-life colours, claims Optoma.

Convenient and easy to setup, its two HDMI inputs can connect to a laptop, PC, Blu-ray player, media streamer or games console – and switching between them is simply a touch of a button.  The HD29H can even be turned into a smart projector by connecting an HDMI dongle like the Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV or Apple TV to play games, stream videos and share photos on the big screen.

For added convenience, the projector comes complete with an integrated speaker that delivers powerful 10W audio. Despite the small dimensions of the projector, the level of audio created will easily fill a living space, claims Optoma. An audio output is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.

Additionally, the HD29H weighs less than 2.5kg making it light enough to carry around to friends in the optional carry bag for a gaming night, sports event or film festival.

Says Kishan Mistry, Product Manager at Optoma said: “With a latency of just 8.4ms and the ability to accept a 1080p 120Hz signal, we developed this compact projector with gamers in mind.

“As well as the lightning refresh rate, this bright and versatile projector delivers high contrast and allows gamers to see far more detail and texture. The HDR imagery is also great for watching movies, live sport and TV shows.”
