We’ve had hoverboards, otherwise known as ‘Swegways’. Now it’s the turn of electric skates or e-Skates. Billed as a completely new category of personal transport by Segway-Ninebot, the Segway Drift W1 will be the first product in the company’s brand-new e-Skates category.

The new Segway Drift W1 uses Segway’s self-balancing technology (built on more than 800 patents), giving it an unparalleled advantage in terms of technology, so the manufacturer claims.

Aimed at the younger generation who dare to stand out and create new trends, the black and white Segway Drift W1 e-Skates are easy to carry, lightweight and small.

The tyres are designed to improve stability and steering capabilities, and, combined with the high-quality materials including slip-resistance on foot mats, the product is designed for maximum comfort and fun.

Consistent with Segway’s philosophy of safety first, the Segway Drift W1 has also obtained a number of international certifications, such as UL and CE, the manufacturer claims.

Within Europe, Middle East and Africa, the product will be seen for the first time and tested at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Germany.

Further product specifications and expected availability of the Segway Drift W1 to EMEA markets are expected to be announced soon and may differ by region. Learn more at uk-en.segway.com.
