The Wiser Radiator Thermostat has been awarded a prestigious 2018 Red Dot Design Award for its design and functionality.

The international accolade was presented to Wiser for its outstanding innovation in the Product Design category. The radiator thermostat is part of Drayton’s Wiser heating control system; a smart multi-room package that allows you to control and personalise your heating in up to 16 rooms, using the simple Wiser app.

One of the key features is the radiator thermostat’s twist top boost function with spring back, designed by Drayton’s British engineering team. By simply twisting the cap, you can quickly and easily adjust the temperature in an individual room, making it 2oC warmer or cooler for one hour.

A handy LED light signals that the set-point has been changed for 60 minutes. At the end of the boost period the accurate built-in temperature sensors will regulate the room temperature in line with your heating programme.

The Wiser Radiator Thermostat was also commended for its slimline design. In addition, the radiator thermostats can be mounted on to existing valves for easy installation and minimal disruption.

The Wiser system is DIY-friendly and comprises a room thermostat, radiator thermostats, the heat hub and the app. Compatible with voice control systems including Amazon Alexa and Google Home, Wiser retails from £219.99 for Wiser Multi-zone kit 1.

Individual Wiser Radiator Thermostats can be added to the system at any point and RRP is £44.99.

The Red Dot Awards are a prestigious international design competition, founded in 1954. This year, companies and designers from 59 countries entered more than 6,300 innovations in the Product Design category, a higher number than ever before.
