#IFA17: ARCHOS unveils Access, Core and Sense budget smartphones from just £49.99

Remember when even a basic smartphone would set you back a few hundred pounds? Not any more. French electronics brand ARCHOS has unveiled its range of Access, Core and Sense budget smartphones with prices starting from just £49.99.

The ARCHOS Access and Core models will be available from September 2017 with prices between £49.99 to £99.99 while the Sense models, priced from £129.99 to £249.99, will be available from October.

Featuring 4, 4.5, 5 or 5.5-inch cases, and coloured in black, blue or yellow, the ARCHOS Access smartphones (pictured above) boast quad-core processors. They also offer 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory (expandable with Micro SD card), two cameras (5 or 8 MP at the rear and 2 MP at the front) and batteries from 1,200 to 2,300 mAh.

Available in black, grey or red metal cases the ARCHOS Core 50 smartphones feature IPS HD displays, including Full Lamination technology and quad-core processors. They also come with either 1 or 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory (expandable with Micro SD card), two cameras (13 or 8 MP at the back and 5 or 2 MP at the front) and batteries at 2,000 mAh.

Meanwhile the ARCHOS Sense 47X smartphone boasts a 4.7-inch IPS HD display, a quad-core processor, supported by 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory (expandable with Micro SD card), two cameras (13 MP at the rear and 5 MP at the front), and a 3,000 mAh battery.

It meets the IP 68 standard and can withstand drops of more than one meter. At £129.99, the ARCHOS Sense 47X is billed as most accessible rugged smartphone available today.
