Launching on Kickstarter today is a casing and earbud set that allows you to listen to music underwater on your smartphone, rather than having to use a dedicated SwiMP3 player.

Billed as the world’s best waterproof phone set, the WaterCage case and earbud sets were created by water enthusiasts for water enthusiasts.  Just attach the special waterproof headsets into the waterproof earbud hatch and away you go.

The WaterCage set is waterproof up to 6.6 feet (2 meters) underwater and can withstand shocks and drops of up to 6.6 feet (2 meters). Also on board is a sound enhancement system for clearer audio quality underwater, claims the manufacturer.

WaterCage was designed to solve water related problems for those who love to do sports or work near or on the water, yet want to be able to take their phones with them without the fear of them getting damaged and ruined by the water.

Says Patrick Aiache, Founder of WaterCage:

“We’ve already generated a lot of advance interest just in our testing phases. We made sure to come up with a sleek case and great earbuds with super audio sound and an ultra crisp mic so that our set will be equally enjoyable both in and out of the water.”

WaterCage sets are available in Black or White cases and consumers will have their choice of pre-ordering from March 15th – April 23rd.

The phone case and earbuds set offered by WaterCage will retail for $125.00 but during the Kickstarter campaign the sets can be pre-ordered starting at $65.
