Whoops – details of what we can expect from Assassin’s Creed next year have already leaked out, much earlier than Ubisoft would have liked.

The folks over at Kotaku got the scoop. The game will be called “Assassin’s Creed: Victory”, and will be set in Victorian London.

From the leaked screenshots, it appears that the game will be familiar to previous AC players – but gameplay innovations will include fighting on the top of carriages, and given the action seems to be set at a train station, we wouldn’t be surprised if you ended up snooping around in some tube tunnels.

Apparently Ubisoft isn’t happy with the leak, saying in a statement:

“It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin’s Creed Unity for players.”

We’ll keep you posted when we learn more.
