Dropbox has today launched a Pro version of its cloud storage app, which adds new options for sharing files and enhanced security options.

In a post on the company’s blog, the company describes the three new sharing options: Sharing files using passwords on shared links, shared link expiration (so the link will stop working after a period of time) and the ability to share folders as view only, so that the person you’re sharing with can’t modify the files.

The company has also announced a feature it is calling “remote wipe”, which lets you manage which devices access your Dropbox. So if, say, your laptop gets stolen, you can remotely wipe the Dropbox files next time it syncs with the cloud.

The new service costs £7.99/month or £79/year and comes with 1TB of space.
