Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare not coming to WiiU
The head of the studio developing the latest Call of Duty game has confirmed that the game won’t be heading to the WiiU after all.
Michael Condrey, co-founder of Sledgehammer Games tweeted the following in response to a fan asking a question:
@1422644 no, no WiiU. That was an Activision decision. We are focused on XboxOne, PS4, and PC.

Whilst the game was never confirmed for WiiU, the announcement will no doubt be seen as more bad news for WiiU gamers after last year’s Call of Duty: Ghosts found its way on to the console.
Similarly, this follows the news yesterday that Ubisoft has all but abandoned Nintendo’s ailing platform for the more lucrative PS4 and Xbox One.
Arguably this isn’t hugely surprising: Nintendo has long positioned its console as an alternative to the two major consoles, and hey – even if you can’t experience Kevin Spacey channelling Frank Underwood, at least there’s always, umm, Yoshi’s Woolly World.
