The rumour mill has been been well and truly busy today, with LG thought to be working on a smaller version of its prized G3 flagship, aptly named the G3 Mini.

The phone reported has a 4.5- inch display, which would be a full-inch smaller than its larger sibling, with the recently-launched G3 sporting 5.5-inches.

What’s apparent and certainly interesting here is that the G3 Mini’s 4.5- inch display is smaller than its predecessor the G2 Mini’s 4.7″ screen.

Also expected is a 5- megapixel rear-facing camera and a Qualcomm processor – potentially the Snapdragon 400 – clocked at 1.2GHz.

The handset may also come with a 2100mAh battery and should see the latest version of Android – 4.4 KitKat – running on the phone out of the box.

Unfortunately, the G3 Mini remains to be nothing more than just a rumour at this moment in time, with LG failing to comment on the situation. We’ll let you know when we hear more.
