It is fair to say that Final Fantasy VII is one of the most beloved games of all time. The Playstation game quickly became a classic, and even though it was released way back in 1997 – 17 years ago – calls for a remake have never quite stopped. So good news! The, umm, G-Bike mini-game is getting a mobile release.

The motorbike racing game has been extracted from the game and given an HD lick of paint. Apparently plays will be able to “enjoy thrilling high-speed bike chases as well as deep RPG like elements such as customisation, character growth and item collecting.”

The game, due on iPhone and Android will let you “experience familiar sights from the unique universe of FINAL FANTASY VII, such as classic monsters and Cloud Strife’s awesome fighting techniques, recreated with beautiful graphics.”

And because this is 2014, the game will of course be free to play, but with in-app purchases.
