Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Sledgehammer games showed off 9 minutes of gameplay footage from this year’s CoD instalment. Apparently the DLC for the game will be a timed exclusive on Xbox One – meaning PS4 gamers will have to wait a little longer for the extras. No matter though – judging by the gameplay its all going to feel rather familiar.

Nurburgring in Forza 5 and Forza Horizon 2

New free DLC was announced bringing Germany’s famous Nurburgring to the Xbox One racer. Its available RIGHT NOW on Xbox Live, apparently.

The developers also unveiled Forza Horizon 2, which is coming later this year. Apparently it has “dynamic weather”.

Evolve

Evolve is a First Person Shooter which looks fairly traditional at first – there’s different character classes and weapons and so on… but oh yeah you fight monsters. And you can even play as the monsters. It appears to be basically fantasy Titanfall.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity

We got more details on the new AC game, which is coming only to next generation consoles and PC… and it looks awesome. You play Arnold Victor Dorian at the beginning of the French Revolution, and you can even form you own Brotherhood and play online co-op with up to three other players. It looks amazing.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

The latest in the popular Dragon Age series. Due October 7th.

Sunset Overdrive

We got a new trailer for the Tony Hawks-meets-Team Fortress 2 type shooter with a funny new trailer. Not much gameplay footage but nicely delivered.

Dead Rising 3: Arcade Remix

Okay, so the title is much longer than that. It’s DLC for Dead Rising 3 that appears to massively revamp the game to make it crazier, similar to how Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon completely changed that. Apparently other Capcom characters will be making appearances too. And get this – its available right now on Xbox Live.

Dance Central or something

I’ll be honest… I wasn’t really paying attention during this one… but hey, you were never going to buy a dancing game anyway, right? At least – you wouldn’t admit it.

Fable: Legends

Coming exclusively to Xbox One (its a first party title), the latest in the Fable series adds a multiplayer dimension with cooperative play. Apparently a multiplayer beta will be launching in Autumn.

Project Spark

Now this is intriguing – a game where you… make games. Slightly analogous to the likes of Little Big Planet, it appears to be a visual software development kit – where you create the elements you want in a game, such as characters, level design, objectives and so on… and you can make real games that can then be played both by you and online with your friends. Someone saw Minecraft and clearly thought “I want a piece of that”.

As an added bonus, they’ve added in Conker, the swearing squirrel from the N64’s much missed Conker’s Bad Fur Day – so you can make a new Conker game if you like. Amazing.

Ori and the Blind Forest

New IP at last! An intriguing platformer that looks beautiful.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Ah, the much rumoured Halo announcement. The Master Chief Collection is comprised of all of the previous Halo games – 1-4 so you can play through them all again. Best of all, in multiplayer you can mix & match, and create playlists of your favourite levels from each of the games. All of the games will look the same as they did before, apart from Halo 2, which as it is ten years on is getting the “full anniversary treatment” of an HD polishing. Apparently players will be able to choose whether to play 6 Halo 2 levels in HD or as they originally were.

Similarly, in addition to the multiplayer with everything involved, Halo 2 multiplayer can also stand alone so you can play it exactly as you remember it.

The game will run in full 60fps 1080p, come with access to the Halo 5: Guardians beta, and apparently also have 4000 gamerscore points available with it.

Inside

From Playdead, the creators of indy hit Limbo, a new side-scrolling game that, as you might expect – looks lovely.

ID@Xbox

Microsoft showed off a whole montage of independent games being developed for Xbox One in a short clip… there’s so many we can’t keep track!

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Hurrah! As expected a sequel to last year’s Tomb Raider reboot was revealed. The Rise of the Tomb Raider trailer showed Lara speaking to a psychologist intercut with a dramatic fall from a cliff. Here’s hoping the sequel is also being written by Rhianna Pratchett, who managed to take one of the most infamously laddish series of games and make Lara appear both three dimensional and human. Perhaps alluding to this, “We become who we’re meant to be” Lara says at the end of the trailer. Perfect.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt

The forthcoming forest-em-up received a gameplay demo as part of the presentation…

Phantom Dust

This was a weird one. Exclusive to Xbox One, the original Xbox’s Phantom Dust (us neither) is being rebooted. Hands up if you can remember the original!

Tom Clancy’s The Division

We’ve known about this game since last year – and it has apparently been delayed into late next year… but hell, does it look exciting. Nothing hugely new other than some exciting looking gameplay footage. We cant wait to try it out.

Scalebound

“My passion has been giving audiences unique experiences” said a man in the most boring voice possible. He was introducing Scalebound – a new action game that will be exclusive to Xbox One, which involves fighting dragons and stuff.

Crackdown

Exclusive to the Xbox One, a reboot of the series that debuted last generation. Apparently in addition to single player and co-op, multiplayer will also be introduced. And buildings will be very destructable.
