Toshiba has announced three new laptop/tablet hybrids for its 2014 product line-up. The Encore 2, Click 2 and UltrabookTM might not be winning any design awards, but they’ll get the job done if you’re looking for a hybrid device.

First up is the Encore 2 tablets. Available in both 10.1″ and 8″ versions, both are capable of 720p HD (running at 1280×800). They’re both powered by Intel Atom processors and comes running Windows 8.1 with Bing (essentially Windows 8.1 but with Bing set a your default search engine). Toshiba claims the battery will last up to 8.5 hours.

Both models also come with a free one year subscription to Office 365. Which ain’t bad at all.

Next there’s the Satellite Click 2 L30W – this is closer to a laptop in design – coming with a detachable ultra-thin keyboard. This appears to be a solid mid-range device, coming with Intel i3 processors, 4GB of RAM, Windows 8.1 and a 13.3″ screen that runs at 1366×768.

Finally there’s the Satellite Click 2 Pro P30W (yes, its a bit of a mouthful), otherwise known as the “UltrabookTM”. Spec-wise there’s a 13″ full HD (1920×1080) display, Intel HD Graphics 4400, and 4th generation Intel i5 processors – and 8GB of RAM. You can get it with either a solid-state or regular hard disk up to 256GB. It also runs the full 64 bit version of Windows 8. The battery will last up to 6 hours.

We’ve no word on pricing yet, but will update this post when we find out.
