Gamescom 2013: Win half a million Euros with e-sports tournaments

From Wednesday through Sunday this week (21.08-25.08) gaming fans can
enjoy a multitude of world, European and German game premiers all to be streamed live on ESL TV (www.esl.tv)

Hosted on four stages with over half a million Euros in prize money, the arena will see the best in the Electronic Sports League (ESL), Europe’s largest computer game league, battle it out for ultimate glory including the following:

– StarCraft II World Championship Series:

The Season 2 Final will play out from Friday to Sunday with the best 16 players from all across America, Korea and Europe. The winner will take home a piece of the US$150,000 prize pot. (StarCraft2.com/WCS)

– League of Legends Championship Series:

From Wednesday through till Sunday, the best teams in the European LCS Summer Split Playoffs will battle it out for the chance to be crowned champions. (lolesports.com)

– ESL Pro Series Final:

Germany’s best StarCraft II player will be crowned on Thursday when the Season’s four best players take the stage to decide who takes home the 10,000 Euro prize money. (eslproseries.de)

– ESL Stage:

The Infinite Crisis (gamescom premier) and SMITE tournaments will decide over the course of the five day event, who will take home the 15,000 Euro prize pool. World of Tanks will also crown a victor in their league (WPL), deciding who is worthy of the massive 100,000 Euro prize money.

Alongside the high profile eSports competitions showcased will also be the newest games and optimal Gaming-Hardware from Twitch, Kingston HyperX, Warner Bros., Riot Games, Wargaming.net, Deutsche Post, Acer, Blizzard, ProSiebenSat.1 Games, 505 Games, Plantronics, Western Digital, Bayer Vivitouch, Junge Union, Digital Extremes, Paradox Interactive, Ubisoft, CM Storm, NEEDforSEAT and Sony Online Entertainment.
