samsung-series-9.jpgSamsung are said to be preparing to reveal a new line of notebooks with super-high resolution displays that will best even Apple’s might MacBook Pro with Retina Display line.

The company will be brining 13.3-inch QHD 3200 x 1800 panels to SID 2013 this month.

With Apple’s equivalents housing just 2560 x 1600 resolutions, Samsung blows it out of the water, as well as that of the 15-inch Retina Pro. Even Google’s slinky Chrome Pixel Chromebook can only muster a 2560 x 1700 display.

Though Samsung are staying coy as to where the displays are headed, it seems a safe bet that they’ll be making their way into ultrabooks, given the size. Expect to see something come out of IFA 2013.

Samsung are also said to be preparing to show new more power efficient HD AMOLED technology, using a quarter less power than current HD AMOLEDs, alongside a 23-inch 10-finger touchscreen.
