Following earlier leaks, the HTC Desire 600 has been officially revealed, and with it comes confirmed specs differing slightly from the leaked information given earlier.

A dual-SIM smartphone (making it unlikely to launch in the UK, considering their relative lack of popularity here), the Desire 600 offers HTC Sense 5.0 on Android Jelly Bean, with a 4.5-inch screen and the same BlinkFeed software that was found in the HTC One.

“The HTC Desire 600 dual sim combines speed and easy multitasking with the truly innovative HTC BlinkFeed home screen. The result is an affordable mid-range phone that sets the standard for its class, keeping the busiest user up-to-date at a glance and offering them the power and range of features to switch between work and play,” said Peter Chou, CEO at HTC.

Running at a 960 x 540 resolution, the handset is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The impressive HTC BoomSound speakers of the HTC One also feature, alongside an 8MP camera sensor, though there’s no mention of the company’s interesting Zoe photography functionality. 720p video capture is also onboard.

Measuring 134.8 x 67 x 9.26mm and weighing 130g, there’s no specific pricing or release date/ territory information to share yet. We’ll pass it on as we hear it.
