lekiosk-asus.jpgDigital magazine distributors lekiosk have signed a new exclusivity deal with ASUS on the Android platform that will see lekiosk’s 800 English, French and Italian-language titles be offered through the tablet manufacturer’s new ASUS@vibe+ platform.

Though already available on Apple’s iPad iOS device, the new deal sees the lekiosk portfolio of digital magazines coming exclusively to ASUS’s Android tablets, including the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700, the Transformer Pad TF300 and the MeMO Pad.

“The proportion of people who want to consume magazines through their tablets are increasing all the time,” said Robin Sabban, co-founder and head of partnerships at lekiosk.

“lekiosk is already the magazine platform of choice for iPad users who fall into this group – thanks to this deal, we will also be able to deliver the same quality of experience and range of titles to the owners of tablets made by ASUS, one of the world’s top 3 consumer notebook vendors. We look forward to a successful partnership.”

Vira Chang, head of eBusiness Service Department of ASUS, added: “We are delighted to have reached this agreement with the leading supplier of digital format magazines. The 800 titles distributed by lekiosk are a worthy addition to our ASUS@vibe+ content service, and add real entertainment value for our users.”

Titles available through the new partnership will include Vogue, GQ, and Wired.
