iPad-Mini-03.png3,600 Apple iPad Mini tablets have been stolen from New York’s JFK airport, which were sitting in the same cargo bay as is featured during the drug heist in the movie Goodfellas, somewhat ironically.

Two men managed to load up a white tractor with two pallets worth of the Apple gadgets, and would have managed to bag a further three pallets had they not been interrupted by a suspicious worker.

According to the NY Post:

The crooks arrived at Building 261 around 11 p.m. in a white tractor trailer marked with the name CEVA on the side, according to the sources. They pulled up to the side of the airport building that faces onto a street and has less security than the other side, which is accessible from the airport tarmac.

Sources believe someone let them into the area and then let them out after they grabbed the iPads.

The haul is said to be worth somewhere in the region of £1 million.

As a side note, Tech Digest currently have a few thousand iPad Mini’s going cheap. Unwanted gifts. Looking for a quick sale. Cash only. No returns…
