Samsung_series5_win8.jpgSamsung have unveiled their touch-friendly Windows 8 Ultrabook, the 13-inch Ultra Touch Series 5 Ultrabook.

Running Microsoft’s new OS but sharing similar specs to the Series 5 models revealed back at CES 2012, this latest touchscreen edition comes in two different configurations; either a Core i3 or Core i5 version, each packing 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive.

Pricing sits at $809.99 for the i3 version (around £500), and $859.99 (around £534) for the i5 configuration.

Alongside the Ultrabooks, Samsung will also be touting a handful of new Windows 8 tablets following the operating system’s 26 October launch.

The 11.6-inch tablets look like upgraded Ativ Smart PC slates, running Windows 8, with the 500T coming with an Atom Z2760, 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Again, two configurations are available. First, there’s the Ativ Smart PC 500T with a keyboard ($749.99/ CIRCA £467) or without it ($649.99/ CIRCA £405).

If you’re after a little more grunt, the 700T is a little more impressive, with a Core i5 processor under the hood the 11.6 inch tablet. It’s backed with 4GB of Ram and 128GB of storage and will set you back $1199.99 (roughly £745).
