Positioned to rival Nikon’s D600, it packs in integrated Wi-Fi and GPS for quickly sharing geotagged photos with web destinations.

A newly designed CMOS sensor teams up with Canon’s DIGIC 5+ Image Processor in the EOS 6D, capable of 11-point autofocus and ISO 100-25600 (extendable to 50, 51200 and 102400).

canon_eos_6d_3.jpgFeaturing 63-zone dual-layer iFCL metering and 4.5fps continuous shooting, the EOS 6D also has plenty of “creative modes”, including a HDR mode, and a multiple exposure mode that combines nine separate exposure settings in one image.

Video capture resolution maxes out at full 1080p HD with support for 30,24, and 25 fps, while 60fps and 50fps are supported in 720p mode.

On the rear you’ll find a 3-inch 1040k dot VGA resolution LCD preview screen, which offers 100% coverage during video recording, alongside a viewfinder.

On sale from December, the Canon EOS 6D will be priced at $2,099 for the body only, or $2,899 with the EF 24-105mm IS USZ zoom lens bundled in.
