slash-amplitube.jpgAmpliTube have put together a new version of their popular iPhone and iPad app with the help of legendary guitarist Slash.

The ex-Guns N’ Roses axeman has helped the AmpliTube developers compile an app that contains all Slash’s signature pedals and amplifier set ups.

Hooking up a guitar through IK Multimedia’s iRig add-on, you can turn your iDevice into a mini studio, laying down tracks or pulling in songs from your iTunes library to mess about with as backing track accompaniments.

The collection is also available as a series of plug-ins for PC or desktop musicians.

You can grab the AmpliTube Slash app for iPhone or iPad from the Apple App Store, priced £6.99. If you’re after the Mac or PC versions, you’ll have to grab that from the AmpliTube Custom Shop for €59.99 (roughly £48).

  • Slash and Marshall teaming up with AmpliTube iRig is about the coolest thing to ever happen to the iPhone!

Check out Slash jamming through his app! This is legit. Slash talks about AmpliTube iRig too, and even says he wrote his album with it while on tour!
