Even though the game came out two weeks ago it seems that there is still so much going on with this game. It has been a bit of a bumpy ride in the first week for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.

With cheating, crashing elite servers and glitches it hasn’t been the fairytale start for one of the worlds biggest game franchises. But they are working on resolving as many of the issues as they can. Robert Bowling from Infinity Ward said that the developer is seeking out these players who choose to cheat and ruin other people’s experience.

He confirmed via Twitter that “Any attempt to cheat, hack or glitch in MW3 will not be tolerated. 1600+ bans issued. Updates in works. Please continue to report offenders.” PC users especially have seen a huge influx of people trying to hack the game, the video above showing one of the most popular hacks going around at the moment.

It is pretty pathetic that people feel the need to be adding advantages to a game which over the course of its lifetime has worked really hard on balancing the multiplayer experience. With every title, more and more features have been tweaked to make the game fairer. Some people are not good enough to join in with the normal gamers and have to have things their own way, there is a special circle in hell reserve for people like that.

On a better not for the game it has broken all entertainment sales records in history since the time it was released, racking in a massive $775 million which is tonnes of money by anyones standards. “Call of Duty has become the first entertainment property in history to set five-day launch records for three consecutive years across all forms of entertainment,” says Activion head Bobby Kotick.

Another staggering figure, on the day of release over seven million hours of multiplayer were played, i think i have played about 3 hours so far.
