HTC churn out new handsets faster than we can keep track of them these days. Fans of the Taiwanese mobile giants have a new flaghip handset to salivate over today; the HTC Sensation XE.

Featuring a 4.3 inch qHD display, the Sensation XE is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, with the same 768MB of RAM found in the original Sensation.

Android 2.3.4 gets the usual HTC makeover, with version 3.0 of their superb Sense UI overlaid on top.

Boxed up with either an 8GB or 16GB microSD card, the Sensation XE also packs an 8MP camera with 1080p recording smarts and a front-facing VGA camera for video calls.

HTC’s partnership with Beats Audio continues to bear fruit here too. Not only is Dr Dre’s sound tech hardwired into both the software and the hardware of the phone itself, but in the box also comes a pair of lush Beats Audio in-ear earphones.

“Audio is a crucial part of any consumer’s mobile experience and we are continually pushing the audio boundaries to encompass not only improved voice but music, movies and games,” said Jason Mackenzie, president of global sales and marketing at HTC.

“The HTC Sensation XE offers a truly incredible experience that demonstrates our commitment to place consumers at the centre of their mobile worlds.”

The HTC Sensation XE hits shops in late September. HTC haven’t revealed pricing or network information yet, but scroll down for some more shots of the handset.
