VIDEO: Nokia WP7 Mango Sea Ray swims into view

Nokia’s first Windows Phone 7 outing, the Sea Ray, is caught swimming in the wild, and one plucky tech fisherman has caught it on the end of his video-capturing rod.

Awkward aquatic metaphors aside, it’s our first proper look at the handset almost certain to kick off the Nokia/Microsoft mobile partnership, after CEO Stephen Elop apparently unwittingly allowed himself to be filmed with the device at an internal Nokia event back in June.

From the looks of things, all the usual Windows Phone 7 buttons have made it onto the Nokia device intact, lighting up once the phone boots. Touch-sensitive virtual buttons were rumoured, but this video seems to brush that notion to one side.

There’s no visible sign of a front-facing camera, though this could esaily still be a prototype model, subject to change. What is most interesting though is that the handset seems to be packing the latest Mango build of WP7, suggesting that an official release beyond developers is nearly ready.

  • You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post.
