The Xbox 360 online gaming and media download platform has already spread its wings to Windows Phone 7 devices in a limited capactiy, but it looks as though Xbox Live will now become the media service of choice across all Windows 8 versions, including PCs and tablets.

“Live will be built into the PC. It will be the service where you get your entertainment,” said Delman.

If we have that and the PCs to leverage, that will be a big Live base. It’s our job to make “buy a movie in one place and play it everywhere, buy a game in one place and play it everywhere.”

“Xbox Live will the pervasive media service across devices,” he concluded.

This years E3 event saw Microsoft reveal plans to make Xbox Live a true enterainment hub, with live TV streaming added to its library of games and films, moving away from the game-orientated focus the service is currently known for.
