The HTC Pyramid, the Taiwanese smartphone maestros rumoured new flagship handset, has popped up in a series of new leaked spy shots at XDA-Developers.com. Take a look at the new device by clicking below.

Not merely some shots of the Pyramid’s build, the leaked photos also reveal software and hardware specifications of the forthcoming device.

According to the screens, the OS is 2.3.2 of Android, making it neither Froyo nor Honeycomb as had previously been suggested, but a Gingerbread device instead.

A dual-core CPU of the Qualcomm MSM8260 1.2 GHz Snapdragon variety makes an appearance, backed up with 768MB of RAM.

The 4.3 inch display is running at a resolution of 960 x 540, which should make pictures from the 8MP rear camera (flanked by a 1.3MP front facing one too) really shine on the screen. 1080p video recording is also expected to feature.

Still no official confirmation on the device yet from HTC, but it’s looking pretty clear that this one will be rubber stamped very soon.
