Acer Iconia TAB A500 and W500 models get UK pricing and release dates

UK pricing and availabilty for the Acer Iconia TAB A500 and W500 tablets has just been revealed.

Those after a Windows tablet should go for the £449 W500 tablet (featured in the video above). Running Windows 7, it goes on sale from April 8th. Though it makes it significantly more pricey at £529, it can also be purchased with a keyboard dock, and is considered the optimal set-up for the tablet.

The Android Honeycomb-packing A500 will touch down in mid-May, priced £449 too. It doesn’t come with a keyboard dock, though Acer will offer an optional Bluetooth keyboard for those that can’t do without a hardware keyboard. Honeycomb is a far more finger-friendly OS than Windows 7 though, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
