CES 2011 – Universal 3D active glasses on the way from Monster Cables

If there’s one major bug-bear about 3D TVs that we have here at Tech Digest other than the need to wear 3D glasses in the first place, that’s the fact that each manufacturer uses proprietary tech in their specs meaning you cant use one brand’s frames to watch another company’s 3D screens.

That may all be about to change though thanks to Monster Cables. Though better known (as their name would suggest) for high-quality cabling, the company have now also developed a pair of 3D glasses called the Max 3D sets which will work universally across any brand of active-tech 3D TVs.
