Taking on the new line of LG superphones, Samsung have just popped up with their own 4G-enabled handset in the shape of the Samsung Infuse.

It’s not taken the dual-core route of LG’s Optimus 2X, but its still-very-nippy 1.2GHz Hummingbird processor is backed up by a “Super AMOLED Plus” screen, making it potentially the brightest AMOLED on the market.

A large 4.5 inch screen makes the most of that AMOLED Plus tech, which will also be great for previewing snaps taken with the 8MP camera onboard and video calls via the 1.3 MP front facing camera.

No news yet on a UK release, which may be unlikely (at least with 4G connectivity), but hopefully the Infuse will make it to Blighty’s shores in some form or other in the near future. We’ll pass on any new details as we get them.
