bing google thumb.jpgWindows Phone 7 owner but not a fan of the Bing search engine? Today’s your lucky day; Google have just announced the arrival of their own search app for the new breed of Microsoft handsets.

“Searching with Google on your Windows Phone 7 device just got easier,” said Jon Skeet and Nick Radicevic of the Google Mobile Team

“The Google Search app for Windows Phone 7 provides quick and convenient access to a rich set of search results, allowing you to search the web, images, local, news, and more. This initial release of the Google Search app includes several features that help you to search faster – suggestions appear automatically as you type, you can choose to repeat a query from your search history, and your current location is used to provide more relevant results.”

You can grab the app for free now from Microsoft’s app marketplace, though some patience may be required as it isn’t showing up in every territory just yet.

  • Maybe most people find it convenient but I don’t like the suggestion tips appearing on the screen.
