Gratia Charcoal Black.jpgHTC have just launched their new Gratia handset for UK and European Android lovers.

“Rich and elegant” according to the press release, it’s a more compact offering than their forth-coming Desire HD and Desire Z handsets, weighing just 122 grams and coming in black, white and green colours.

Running Android version 2.2 (Froyo) and packing in a 5MP camera, it seems to be Europe’s answer to the HTC Aria already available in the States. As you’d expect, it also features HTC’s Sense re-skinning of the Android interface, tying social networks such as Twitter and Facebook into one homescreen stream.

“HTC’s mantra is to provide a unique mix of experience and choice to people using our phones,” said Florian Seiche, President of HTC Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“HTC Gratia offers something completely different. Its compact size, beautiful design and power with Android 2.2, combined with its personalised experience through HTC Sense, is uniquely compelling. We can’t wait to bring HTC Gratia to our customers in Europe.”

No pricing has been announced for the Gratia as yet, but HTC have pencilled in a November release date for the handset.
