Nokia_X3.jpgWho says you cant have both a touchscreen and a keypad these days? Certainly not Nokia, who today are launching the X3 “Touch and Type” handset which fuses both a small touch-sensitive screen with a traditional hardware keypad.

A “unique combination of a touch screen and traditional 12 button phone keypad” according to Nokia, the budget friendly X3 also includes a 5MP digital camera with 4x digital zoom and video recording capabilities. There’s also 3G and WLAN connections, as well an an FM radio and media player.

“We continue to push innovation at all price points. The Nokia X3 brings new consumer value with a device that combines a touch screen and a keypad at an affordable price, offering consumers the best of both Worlds”, said Mark Loughran, managing director of Nokia UK.

While it’s hardly as unique as Nokia would lead you to believe, with many manufacturers offering similar handsets, its expected 125 Euro (circa £100) price tag should make it a tempting proposition come its late September launch.
