Logitech Rechargeable Speaker S715i.jpgLogitech have today launched the Rechargeable Speaker S715i iPod dock, looking to bridge the gap between a high-end home audio system and the portability of a travel speaker dock.

With an 8 hour rechargeable battery life, the S715i packs in eight custom tuned drivers to deliver clear definition across the frequency range. Two drivers work the mid range with a 3-inch laser-tuned neodymium build, two are 0.5-inch neodymium tweeters for higher frequencies while the remaining 4 are passive radiators for the bass ranges.

“With this system, we set out to deliver our next generation in sound quality for an iPod speaker dock”, said Mark Schneider, vice president and general manager of Logitech’s audio business unit.

“The new Rechargeable Speaker S715i offers eight drivers – double our previous iPod docks – and includes a NiMH rechargeable battery so you can take your tunes with you. So go ahead, lose yourself in your music and never worry about disposable batteries again”.

If you’ve got 150-odd quid to spare this month, you’ll be able to pick up the Logitech Rechargeable Speaker S715i in a few weeks time.
