Project NatalMicrosoft have just lifted the lid on the UK release date of their Kinect motion controller for the Xbox 360. Out just in time for the Christmas rush, 360 owners will be able to pick up the Kinect kit on November 10th.

Chris Lewis, vice president of Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft Europe, revealed the news ahead of Gamescom 2010’s official opening, confirming that the unit will be hitting European stores 6 days after US gamers get their hands on it.

The Kinect sensor itself is unique among the field of motion controlled rivals such as the Wii and PS3 Move, as it picks up and tracks the movements and joints of each player, using their actions rather than the input of a controller to play games with.

However, with the PlayStation Move hitting stores on 17th September, Sony have nearly a two month head start over Microsoft’s latest toy.
